Makenzie the Showstopper

Makenzie had her very first dance competition this weekend at the Disneyland Hotel. Her fan section included Auntie Ali, Grandma Silvia, Tia Lynette, Lil Ly and Arianna. Mom, Dad and little sister were there too! Her team did great!

LUMPY turns one!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Delaney Jaye, Happy birthday to you!

It's hard to believe how fast this year has flown by. We have watched our little lady grow up before our eyes. Makenzie, however, was very confused that Delaney woke up on her birthday looking the same as the day before! She thought for sure overnight she'd look "more one" than she did the day before. Manny brought her home a cupcake for breakfast, which kinda screwed up the rest of her day napwise...she was all sugared up!

Ali's Dinner

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday PANCHITA, Happy Birthday to you!

Disneyland for Ali's birthday

On Sunday the girls and I had a special day at Disneyland and California Adventure with Papa, Grandma and Auntie Al's for Ali's 21st birthday. Makenzie had such a great time, Papa even convinced her to get on California Screamin' again! Happy Birthday Auntie!

Kristy Lynne Photography does it again!

My friend and fab photographer Kristy Llewellyn took another round of pictures for Delaney's first birthday, and created her first birthday invitation. Delaney was sick and full of boogers, yet Kristy captured her perfectly! If you are interested in hiring the greatest child photographer around, her contact info is KLPhotography@ymail.com. She recently started offering custom invitations as well, check out Delaney's on her website at http://www.kristylynnephotography.blogspot.com/

Delaney's first ponytail

After wrestling Delaney to the ground this morning, I was able to get her long bangs that usually hang in her face into a ponytail this morning! She looked so cute! I know by this time Makenzie had much more hair, and I was able to get her hair into ponytails with no problem. I was so excited to be able to get that hair off her face. We were running late this morning so I was only able to get a quick shot before we were off to Ketty's.

West Coast School of the Arts

Makenzie had her first performance of her competition routine, Aye Carumba at the Youth Expo in Costa Mesa. Fortunately, my great friend and fab photographer Kristy was able to come and take some pictures of the girls in action. She also caught Makenzie's first day of her "toothless grin!" Papa did some dental work and pulled both teeth out between family portraits and breakfast. That day was quite an adventure!
